Latest News : Which? Report on Child Car Seats

Which? have released a new report on child car seats after crash testing several different makes and models of child car seats to see how they perform.

Whilst all seats on sale in the UK must be tested to standards and be marked with an 'e' mark, to ensure a decent level of safety, the consumer tests performed by Which? are done at a higher speeds and also include a side impact test. Consumer testing such as this shows gives parents information about the relative safety of seats above the EC standard.

You can see video footage of the tests and also find out which seats did not perform well on the Which? Website.

When purchasing a seat, you should always ensure that it also fits safely and securely in your car with very little movement forward and back, or side to side. It should also be appropriate for your child, and you can find further information about choosing and using an appropriate child restraint on this site.
