Child Restraints
Children aged 2 years and younger must be in a child restraint.
3 to 12 year olds must be restrained but can use the adult belt if no child restraint available and children 3 years and over must be in a rear seat if available.
The law only applies to parents or guardians, children of residents or children in vehicles registered in the state. |
Seat Belts
Children aged 13 years and over must wear a seatbelt when travelling in the front seat. |
