Child Restraints
Children aged 2 years and younger must be in a child restraint.
3, 4 & 5 year olds must be restrained but can use the adult belt if a child restraint is not available.
Note: The law only applies to parents or guardians, children of residents or children in vehicles registered in the state. |
Seat Belts
Children aged 6 years and over must wear a seatbelt when travelling in the front seat. |
